Sunday Services
We would love to welcome you to Parkside Christian Centre on a Sunday.
Our Sunday service is a time for the church family to gather together to worship God, pray, hear from the Bible, encourage one another and make space to encounter the presence of the Holy Spirit.
Whether you are a regular churchgoer, new to East Sheen, returning to church after some time away, or simply curious about Christian faith, you are very welcome.
Join us on Sunday
Parkside Christian Centre meets at:
173 Upper Richmond Road West
East Sheen
SW14 8DU
Our Sunday gathering is friendly, welcoming and open to everyone. You do not need to be familiar with church to come along, and you will not be put on the spot. You can simply come as you are and take things at your own pace.
What to expect
A typical Sunday service includes worship, prayer, Bible teaching and time together as a church family.
As part of the Elim Pentecostal Church movement, we believe that God is active today by his Holy Spirit. Our services are shaped by a desire to worship Jesus, listen to God’s Word, pray with faith and encourage people in everyday life.
Worship
Worship is an important part of our Sunday service. Through songs, prayer and reflection, we make space to focus on God and respond to his love.
You are welcome to join in as much or as little as you feel comfortable with.
Bible teaching
Each Sunday we spend time learning from the Bible. We believe the Bible is God’s Word and that it speaks with hope, truth and wisdom into our lives today.
Our aim is to help people understand the Christian faith and grow as followers of Jesus in everyday life.
Prayer
Prayer is a natural part of our life together as a church. During the service there may be opportunities to pray, reflect, or receive prayer from others.
If you would like someone to pray with you, please speak to one of the team. We would be very happy to help.
Families and children
Children and families are very welcome at Parkside Christian Centre.
If you are visiting with children, please speak to someone when you arrive and they will be happy to help you settle in and explain what is available.
What should I wear?
There is no dress code. Some people come smartly dressed and others come more casually. Please wear whatever you feel comfortable in.
Do I need to be a Christian?
No. You do not need to be a Christian to come to a Sunday service.
Church is a good place to explore faith, ask questions and discover more about Jesus. Whether you have faith, questions, doubts, or are just interested in finding out more, you are welcome.
After the service
There is usually time to talk, meet people and find out more about church life. If you are new, please do say hello. We would love to meet you and help you feel at home.
Part of the Elim family
Parkside Christian Centre is part of the Elim Pentecostal Church movement.
Elim churches are centred on Jesus, open to the work of the Holy Spirit, and committed to sharing the good news of God’s love with their communities.
Come along this Sunday
If you are thinking about visiting Parkside Christian Centre, we would be delighted to welcome you.
